ABOUT DRONE FLIGHT MISSION COMMAND
As a CWI, I’ve inspected
a large number of projects.
Most of these projects require the use of man lifts to gain access to hard-to-reach places. With proper training and experience, the use of man lifts for inspection can be performed safely. That said, the operation of a man lift does come with the possibility of liability, even under the best conditions. To drastically reduce such liability drones can be used to perform code required weld
inspections. An additional feature of performing weld inspection with a drone is in its efficiency. By eliminating the use of man lifts, welds can be inspected in a fraction of the time it would normally take.
To that end, Drone Flight Mission Command LLC offers code compliant weld inspection performed by an FAA certified/licensed drone pilot.
How it works:

1) Site drawings are provided for grid reference and weld details.
2) The site is inspected for hazard avoidance.
3) If necessary, FAA flight clearance is obtained.
4) Site is flown, weld images are captured and stored.
5) Images are uploaded to the company Dropbox account for client review. Client reviews images for acceptability and receives recommendation for correction of deficient welded connections.
6) At a later date, steps 2 - 5 would be conducted to verify deficient welds are corrected.
